I have an AOL address. Can I create a profile? Probably not. To create a profile you must be able to receive the password RxList automatically sends you. Since AOL blocks RxList e-mail (due to spammers using our return address) AOL users will need an alterntate, valid, e-mail address (i.e. Yahoo mail, Hotmail, other) so that you can receive the password we send you. RxList will not respond to AOL e-mail addresses for any password related problems. To create a profile, CLICK HERE. The remedy: Register for a free Yahoo Mail or Hotmail account or any another valid e-mail account when creating a profile. Once you recieve your password, you can start posting right away. Just follow the instructions below: I want to post a message. What do I have to do? RxList message boards require you create a profile with a valid e-mail address. Your e-mail address will not be visible to other board users. To create a profile you click on [Create Profile] from the index page of any of the boards. For example: Click Here It doesn't matter which board you use to create your profile as your profile will allow you to post on any of the boards. You need to create a unique username and provide a valid e-mail address. A password will be sent to that e-mail address which you'll need to post. Please keep in mind that passwords are case sensitive and the one you will be assigned will likely be in uppercase. The password e-mail may wind up in a spam/block/bulk folder set up by your ISP (Yahoo, Hotmail, Earthlink, etc.) so be sure to look there if you don't get it within a reasonable period of time. If the password never shows up, you can have it resent by clicking on "Lost Password?" in the navigation bar at the top of every board index page, or by clicking on "Lost Your Password?" near the bottom of every page. You will need to supply your username and the correct e-mail address used to create the profile Before posting please read the Posting Guidelines at: I lost my password. I forgot my password. I did not receive my pasword. you can have it resent by clicking on "Lost Password?" in the navigation bar at the top of every board index page, or by clicking on "Lost Your Password?" near the bottom of every page. You will need to supply your username and the correct e-mail address used to create the profile. If you get a message stating that your password has been sent but it does not show up your ISP may have blocked e-mail from this site (see Q1 above). If your ISP blocks e-mail from RxList then you will need to create a new profile using a new e-mail address that does not block RxList e-mail. I'm getting an error: "Invalid Password or Username already Taken" when I try to create a profile. Your username has to be unique. If you've tried to create a profile and you've selected a username that is already in use, the system will, unfortunatly set a cookie but will allow you to create a new profile. See the next question if this happens to you. I Don't see a [Create Profile] link. I only see a [Edit Profile] link It appears you tried to create a profile using a username which is already in use. You need to create a unique username that nobody else is using. How do I change a password? Once you've successfully created a profile and have received a valid password via e-mail you may click the [Edit Profile] link and change your password to something that is easier to remember. Make a note of your new password as it may take several days for us to reassign you a new one. Note: If you change the original e-mail address in your profile you will automatically be reassigned a new password by the system (even if you changed the password) which will be e-mailed to the new e-mail address. You will not be able to post any new messages until you've received the new password. Some ISP's may filter these new password e-mails as spam which would require you to contact us for assistance. This may take several days so we suggest you do not change your profile e-mail address unless absolutely necessary. How do I change the information in my profile? Simply click on [Edit Profile] from any board index and you will be able to modify your profile information. You will need your password to edit your profile. We suggest you do NOT change the e-mail address as per the question above. |
